1. Contest only open to contestants ages 16 and up. Single contestants or duets are
acceptable.

2. All entries must be completed and returned by June 24, 2009

3. Entry fee for all contestants is $20.00.

4. Each contestant must submit photo with entry to be used in publicity of Idol.

5. Contestants may obtain sponsorship from area businesses to cover entry fee.

6. Each contestant must have two songs ready to perform, one for the qualifying night
and the second for the final performance on Saturday evening. All songs are at the
discretion of the committee. Please keep in mind songs with inappropriate language or
themes or explicit sexual content will not be allowed.

7. 1st prize is from Branch Studio’s and other prizes are based on entries.

8. Contestants must arrive by 6:15pm on their scheduled night(s) to perform.

9. Blue Tip Idol will be held at the gazebo located on festival grounds near Kaleidoscope
Park. In case of inclement weather, Blue Tip Idol will be held in the pavilion in
Memorial Park.

10. Contest limited to the first 20 paid etries.

11. Qualifying finalists will be contacted by Saturday at 1:00pm regarding their
performance in Saturday's night's finals.

12. The winner of Blue Tip Idol will be chosen in the following terms: a) Contestants will
be given points based on the standings from the qualifying night (10 points for 1st place,
9 points for 2nd place, 8 points for 3rd place, 7 points for 4th place, and 6 points for 5th
place). b) Contestants will be judged on Saturday evening by three judges and given
points on a 10-point system. c) Point totals will be combined from the contestants
qualifying night plus the finals to determine the winner.

13. Contestants will be contacted with performance schedule via email prior to
the event. The Idol schedule will also be posted on the Blue Tip Idol website
www.bluetipidol.com.

14. Publicity for Blue Tip Idol will be conducted in the following terms: a) All contestant
names will be placed on www.bluetipidol.com with performance schedule and for voting
purposes. b) All contestant names and photos will be placed in The Post Newspapers
with performance schedule. Contestants hereby grant, without right to compensation
or payment, theWadsworth Blue Tip Festival permission to use my photograph
and/or name to publicize the Blue Tip Festival Blue Tip Idol contest and event, and
the Blue Tip Festival.
